It’s one thing to oppose gay marriage. It’s entirely another to suggest that homosexuals being allowed to marry is stripping away the rights of others.
My personal views are that the government should be 100% uninvolved in marriage, but this is just straight up backwards. Does Rick Santorum understand what a “right” is?

Considering that at the end of his term in the US Senate he was ranked as the most unpopular serving Senator in the entire nation, and in 2006 a quarter of of Pennsylvania voters switched from Republican to Democrat in a single election just to kick him out, I fail to see why anyone - even before any ideological and moral considerations - could possibly believe that he would make anything even remotely resembling a half-decent President.
If Santorum is so bothered by the concept of “activists judges” (which is so hilariously nonsensical), maybe he should be campaigning to make the judiciary totally independent of the political process and free from the corrupting influences of party-politics, as it is in most sane countries.
